Ongoing development opportunities for rural sites and farmyards
While many clients might assume that site promotion opportunities end when a Call for Sites closes, certain authorities, such as Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils, are continuing to accept employment sites and strategic B8 (storage and distribution) sites for consideration on a rolling basis.
This means there may still be an opportunity to put forward land for allocation, even if you did not participate in the most recent Call for Sites exercise.
For many landowners, the greatest risk is not that a site is rejected, but that its potential was never explored in the first place, or submitted for further consideration where its merits may have altered in the changed policy environment.
If you own land in the district, missed the Call for Sites exercise, or simply want advice on how to strengthen submissions whilst the New Joint Local Plan to 2045 is being worked up, our team would be pleased to help.
The Council can only consider sites that are put before it. Ensure your site is part of that conversation.
