Environmental Consultant

We are looking to add an Environmental Consultant to our growing team on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful applicant will be passionate about delivering professional management services. You will utilise your experience to provide independent, evidence-based advice and support to clients to help them develop their farm businesses. You will be joining an energetic and supportive team.

The successful candidate will provide specialised advice on carbon auditing and sequestration, BNG, and Agri-Environment schemes.

Key areas of responsibility:

Guide farmers on best practices to maximise environmental benefit

Continuously research and evaluate new opportunities, seeking ways to add considerable value to Wilson Wraight and generate new business

Liaise directly with farmers, estates, local authorities, regional planners, and land owners amongst others

Maintain and improve upon your knowledge of the sector, keeping colleagues and clients informed

Produce accurate and appropriate documentation and proposals

The successful applicant requires the following:

  • An enthusiasm for the environmental sector
  • Knowledge of carbon tools, carbon market, and opportunities on farm
  • An understanding of current and emerging environmental legislation specific to UK agriculture
  • Commercial acumen
  • The ability to communicate on technical and commercial levels to a diverse range of clients
  • A willingness to take the initiative
  • Be an independent learner, who can also contribute as a strong team player
  • Willing to work from the office and travel to farm meetings

Specialist agricultural and ecology knowledge is not required although may be useful
