Pre-Application Deadline Fast Approaching for Countryside Stewardship
In order to apply for a Mid-Tier or Wildlife Offer Countryside Stewardship Scheme for a 2019 start, it is essential that a pre-application is completed and sent to Natural England by the 31st May 2018.
Once a pre-application has been completed, Natural England will then send through a full application pack which is to be completed by 31st July 2018.
The non-competitive, simplified, Wildlife Offers provide a limited number of options aimed at helping pollinators and farmland wildlife. If your ELS is coming to an end in 2018, this offer could make use of options which are already be in place. If interested in a Wildlife Offer, more details on the scheme can be found in Rebecca Mahony’s previous blog in the link below:

The competitive Mid-Tier Scheme offers a wider variety of farm specific options and capital items. Some options will make your application better value for money and more competitive, depending on the statements of priority for your catchment area. These priorities for your area can be found using the interactive map at Magic Maps or through the DEFRA Website
