We’re pleased to share that planning permission and Listed Building Consent has been secured for a series of carefully considered works to a Grade II* listed property set within the Grosvenor Gardens Conservation Area, in Central London.

The building forms part of a culturally important historic terrace, dating back to the late 1830s. As such, the proposals required a highly sensitive and heritage-led approach — one that not only respects the architectural integrity of the property, but also responds to its current condition and long-term future.

The scheme has been shaped by a detailed heritage survey, an analysis of the building’s existing fabric by means of an existing drawing pack, and a Heritage Design and Access Statement.

Works such as the repair of the stucco façade, the replacement of inappropriate modern materials with breathable lime mortar, and improvements to drainage and ventilation all contribute to the long-term resilience and sustainability of the building.

These interventions not only address identified issues, but also help safeguard the property against future deterioration. The outcome is a scheme that preserves the significance of the listed building while quietly improving its performance and usability as a home.
