Assistant Consultant
Based in Bury St Edmunds and led by five Partners, our range of high-quality and efficient management services aim to support land-based businesses for decades to come.
This supporting role, with opportunity for career progression, will involve the preparation of largely financial based documents working alongside a team of consultants.
The role:
- Production of accurate financial information, budgeting, cashflow forecasting and the preparation of other supporting documents to assist with the delivery of our professional services
- Communicate with our clients on important matters relating to the running of their farm business
- Apply your knowledge of accounting processes and / or bookkeeping experience, using Microsoft Excel and other technology, such as accounting software
- Liaise with Partners and Consultants to ensure targets and deadlines are met
- Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn will be required
- An interest or knowledge of UK Agriculture would be of benefit
The Successful Applicant
- An enthusiasm to maintain and develop relationships
- Bookkeeping experience and / or knowledge of accounting processes
- Excellent numerical and written abilities with competency in Microsoft Excel
- The ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, with clients, colleagues and fellow professionals
- Capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- An ability to function both as a strong team player and a focused individual
